The wall \u2013 which has become a source of municipal pride &#8211; highlights the 2013 celebration of the 300<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of Pointe-Claire\u2019s foundation, in 1713.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Almost immediately after the vandalism occurred, on the night of September 21, 2012, Pointe-Claire contacted Graffiti-Solutions to request the emergency dispatch of a graffiti-cleaning unit to remove the graffiti\u00a0<strong>WITHOUT DAMAGING THE MURAL<\/strong>.\u00a0&#8220;We weren\u2019t going to simply entrust our wall to just any company\u201d\u00a0was overheard during the urgent and delicate intervention.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After a diligent and delicate process, using specialized\u00a0<a title=\"Graffiti cleaning and removal techniques and services in Montreal\" href=\"http:\/\/www.solutions-graffiti.com\/News\/53\/58\/Graffiti-removal-and-cleaning-services\">graffiti removal techniques<\/a>\u00a0and exclusive biodegradable graffiti-cleaning products, Pointe-Claire\u2019s prized mural, located on l\u2019\u00c9picerie du Village on Lakeshore rd. was first cleaned, to remove the tag without damaging the painted surface underneath, after which touch-ups were made by the original artist.\u00a0<strong>The mural has been completely restored.<\/strong>\u00a0Even the Montreal Gazette was on site.
